Leicester sign Smallbone

Will Smallbone has joined Leicester on a free transfer.

The midfielder, who left Southampton in the summer, has signed a three-year deal with Russell Martin's League One side.

Smallbone, a Republic of Ireland international, previously played under Martin with Saints.

Watford have completed the signing of Senegal international Krepin Diatta on a two-year deal.

The 27-year-old arrives on a free transfer after five-and-a-half seasons at AS Monaco.

I am very happy to join the team, Diatta said to watfordfc.com.

After talking with the people here, the project was very clear in my head. Watford is a top club that were in the Premier League not too long ago, and I think this is the place they should be.

Ex-Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is set for a move to Porto, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It is claimed that the 36-year-old will join the Portuguese champions on a free transfer.

The England international left Saudi Pro League side Al-Fayha in the summer.

Smalling spent a decade at Man Utd from 2010 to 2020, where he won five major trophies, including two Premier League titles.

The former Fulham and Roma defender, who started his career at non-League Maidstone United, is now reportedly set for a spell in Portugal.
